Youth Advisory Council 2019 applications open until 30 September

Membership of the Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is open to children and young people aged 12-24 residing in NSW. Applications are sought from diverse locations, backgrounds and life experiences.

The 12 member YAC provides a direct avenue of communication between young people and the NSW Government. The YAC meets regularly throughout the year to provide advice to the Minister responsible for Youth, the Hon. Ray Williams MP and to Andrew Johnson, Advocate for Children and Young People on issues, policies and laws that affect children and young people in NSW.

Membership of the YAC provides a great opportunity for children and young people to contribute to the work of the NSW Government.
