Ageing – Seniors Staying Social Grants now open

The Department of Communities and Justice have recently opened the Seniors Staying Social Grants. Applications close on 19 April 2020.

Seniors Staying Social Grants will provide organisations across NSW a share of $600,000 in one-off grants for locally driven projects that aim to make communities more inclusive for older people and to help older people connect with each other and enable them to develop quality relationships.

Social inclusion is a key priority of the NSW Ageing Strategy 2016-2020.

Seniors Staying Social Grants are for projects which are:

  • Delivered locally and community driven
  • Able to attract and sustain participation from older people
  • Value for money
  • Self-sustainable after initial grant funding

The opportunity is open to local government and non-government community organisations in NSW.
