DVNSW regularly makes submissions—a written response—to various government inquiries (Federal/Australian Government and NSW Government). These inquiries are conducted by government committees.

As part of an inquiry, a committee usually asks for written submissions addressing the terms of reference. The terms of reference for each inquiry are on the committee’s website. There are no terms of reference for a bill, because a committee is seeking comments on the bill itself.

DVNSW also provides submissions on discussion and issues papers prepared by a Royal Commission or government agency.
